Alan Orme

The Managing Director of the company. An accountant by training (FCCA), he has 40 years’ experience in finance and accounting, gained in senior accounting positions in the public and private sectors in Northern Ireland, Ireland, Britain, Europe and South East Asia.

After working in accounting practice and industry in Northern Ireland, he was based in commerce and industry in London for 5 years (1988-1993). On returning to Northern Ireland, he worked for 11 years as a Senior Manager with HELM Corporation – a consulting company providing accountancy and finance services mainly to the public sector. In 2005, he moved to the Northern Ireland Audit Office as an Audit Manager. Here, he was responsible for producing Value for Money Reports on all aspects of the public sector.  These reports formed the basis for Evidence Sessions of both the Westminster and Northern Ireland Assembly Public Accounts Committees.

In November 2015, Alan set up AO Accountancy & Consultancy Services Ltd to provide accountancy and taxation services as well as offering financial and management consultancy support to the public and private sectors. Prior to this, Alan had been providing these services on a part-time basis over the past 20 years.

Maura Orme

The Company Secretary and a finance professional with over 30 years experience in finance in both the public and private sectors gained in London and Northern Ireland. Maura has particularly strong experience in financial and management accounting and in managing payroll services.
